Studio Skye-Tiger Update: Part 1
Hey there, everyone! I know, I know. It's been a while since I've posted. But I'm back with a bunch of updates on what's been happening. As Studio Skye-Tiger develops into a more established indie publisher and production company, primarily on the Kickstarter platform, I've come to realize just how all-consuming this journey is. Each passing week and month reveals new challenges, demanding new skills and taking up considerable bandwidth. Yet, despite all that, building this company remains the most fulfilling endeavor of my career.
Launching Two New Heights’s What the #$%# Mama
Today is an exciting day as my wife Shayla's company officially launched "WHAT THE #$%# MAMA," a book that Studio Skye-Tiger helped produce, on Kickstarter. Assisting my wife in bringing her vision to life and establishing roots on Kickstarter has been an honor. With an initial goal of $3,500, we're off to a strong start. Our hope for every project we tackle is for it to find its audience and succeed beyond expectations
Midnight Tiger Webcomic Hiatus
Those following us will know we recently launched the MIDNIGHT TIGER WEBCOMIC website. Although we've had a brief pause in our regular uploads due to workload and reorganization, I'm thrilled to share that updates will resume this coming Monday. The unwavering support from the community has been invaluable, and we're eager to continue sharing Midnight Tiger's thrilling narrative.
Adventures In Freelance: Collaborations with DC
While balancing everything at Studio Skye-Tiger and sticking with my 80% creator-owned/20% freelance rule, we continue to embark on freelance projects with industry giants. Recently, DC Power: Rise of the Power Company #1 was released, featuring our story "Dynamic Duo," created alongside the incredible talents of Vita Ayala, Chris Sotomayor, and AndWorld Design. The reception was phenomenal! Next week, you can also look forward to Shadow Cabinet #4—another dream project that we took great pride in working on.
Upcoming Projects
Back at Studio Skye-Tiger, we're thrilled to announce "Arise To Ruin: Chronicles of Buck Rogers," based loosely on Armageddon 2419 A.D., the novella that introduced Buck Rogers. This one-shot is set for an August Kickstarter launch. On the schedule a bit sooner is "Midnight Tiger: EVO Chapter One," a continuation and soft reboot of the Midnight Tiger series. Mark your calendars for its Kickstarter launch on March 31. With a bit of luck, we'll complete Chapter Two by year's end.
Team Goals
We're also proud to have expanded our team with new talent: TJ Bell, Marquis Antoni Dennison, Nex Vierling, Elisa Williams, and Michaila Green. Between all these projects, we're tinkering with pitches for future endeavors that may not surface for a couple of years. It's a lot of work, but with this amazing team and your continued support, we are confident we can achieve our goals.
As always, none of this would be possible without you, our supporters. Our mission this year is to grow our dedicated fanbase to 1,000 strong! Thank you for your unwavering support. Until next time, keep reading comics!
Following the “WTF Mama” campaign! Looking forward to Arise to Ruin, too. Those DC books look awesome! Thanks for the update!!
Love to hear about all of these updates. Happy to support!
